Drillimation Systems is announcing that they will get started on the second half of Chuhou Joutai 3. Drillimation is planning on having the demo launch on Steam on June 24, 2022, and this post will officially announce the name of the game as Chuhou Joutai 3: Three Nights of Scarlet Abscess. The name is taken from a series of three posts that were written in December 2021. You can view these posts here:

Development of the game began two months before the Touhou 5: Mystic Square NES Demake began development. The demo was completed just sly of a few days before that game’s development began, and preproduction continued while that game was in development. The demake is still launching on June 3, 2022.
2022 would basically be a treacherous year at Drillimation Systems, and that year began with the second half of the Touhou 4: Lotus Land Story NES Demake being programmed. Things have been going great, and Chuhou Joutai 3: Three Nights of Scarlet Abscess is expected to release in October 2022.
