Despite Dropping Out, the Prophet Driller Finally Got His College Degree

Six months have passed after Drillimation Systems voted to leave college. Even after that time has passed, the Prophet Driller received his college diploma, just one semester early before his original intended graduation on Friday, November 12, 2021. Drillimation Systems voted to leave college in the spring of 2021. And now, everything had come to a positive and happy end, despite pressure from advocates from switching careers.

Since the dropout, Drillimation had launched two new games and is working on a third one – Chuhou Joutai 2: Paraided!, Touhou 3: The Phantasmagoria of Dimensional Dreams NES Demake, and the in-development Touhou 4: Lotus Land Story NES Demake. Some players are still loving the games that Drillimation developed during the college era, and the Touhou 1: The Highly Responsive to Prayers NES Demake is still the most popular Drillimation game.

The Prophet can say that studying liberal arts can be one way to being a successful indie game developer. There can be many subjects of liberal arts that define the Drillimation Danmaku Universe.

• Philosophy – The core value of the Prophet Driller for the games is simplicity. We want to uncomplicate things by making gameplay easy to understand even for first-timers.
• Sociology – Susumu Takajima’s interaction with the other characters helps him determine who he interacts with is a friend or enemy.
• Psychology – By looking into Susumu Takajima, you can unlock his powers through his fight or flight responses to the situations in the games.
