After a long, brutal winter in the Northern Hemisphere, we can say that summer is definitely coming around the corner, and hopefully we don’t see a repeat of last year’s Perfect Cherry Blossom. To avoid confusion, a Perfect Cherry Blossom is a term that refers to snow falling in the month of May, with some thinking winter lingered past the expiration date.
And if you look at the card above, no, Susumu Takajima and Kagami Ochiai are not getting married, but rather they are celebrating May Day, a traditional spring holiday that falls on May 1. Traditional May Day festivities include crowning a May Queen and dancing involving a maypole. But anyway, we have some big news to share, so let our Prophet dust off his keyboard and bring you the news!
Last month at the Hurst
Beyond the gates at Mercyhurst University sits the creator of the Chuhou Joutai series, being the Prophet Driller. For three years, he’s been working his utmost as best as he could, pouring his soul into everything he makes. He doesn’t need a college degree because he learned everything he could through the experience of creating games. With just a week left at the Hurst, the Prophet Driller will be leaving and branching off from Mercyhurst University.
The Prophet will never become old news. Even as he becomes a dropout, he will continue making games (especially with White Javelin for Whitethorn). Many are asking why this is happening. Just read the March 2021 and April 2021 monthly updates. He’s leaving because he wants to do more of what he loves. It’s always easy to leave by free will, but there’s a cost when quitting school before graduation. He’s been involved in the independent gaming world for the past three years and he loves what he does. Many at the Hurst have thanked him for what he’s done.
Chuhou Joutai 2: Paraided! is now offically in beta
Yesterday, Drillimation Systems released the beta for Chuhou Joutai 2: Paraided!. However, the Steam page is not up yet, so we politely ask our players to be patient as we create the official Steam page.
The demo for Chuhou Joutai 2 was released back in March to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Players can now experience the full game before it even releases on Steam on July 2, 2021. However, the beta is not free and you must pay in order to play it, but if you play the beta, you will get a free Steam key to the official game when it launches.
The game is almost done, as all we have left are the achievements. Development will wrap up at the end of this month and we hope you look forward to the game’s release on Steam.
Our Prophet is Getting a Job
Yesterday, the Prophet Driller got interviewed for a job as a technical support agent. The shift is from 8AM to 5PM on weekdays, meaning that usual activity may be slower than usual. But no worries. This job can help fund Drillimation Systems and get Chuhou Joutai 2 to be successful on the market.
The site has gotten a complete redesign
We recently gave the site an entirely new design with a new set of colors and fonts. This means the plan white design has been retired and has been given some color.
