Yesterday during studio renovations at Drillimation Systems, Drillimation took the opportunity to translate some text for a Steam store page into Japanese. This came after seeing a tweet in the #IndieGameDev hashtag looking for a Japanese localizer, which oddly enough, Drillimation Systems happened to have thanks to the Japanese versions of their games.
The required text that Drillimation Systems had to translate had to be Steam store page text. Drillimation Systems is also suggesting a collaboration with the game’s developer, Shotgun Anaconda, to include Chuhou Joutai’s Susumu Takajima and Kagami Ochiai in one stage in a post-game update. Kagami Ochiai had previously made appearances in two Touhou Project fangames, that being Catch Hina! for a game jam and as the third stage boss in Touhou 2: The Story of Eastern Wonderland NES Demake. Kagami is expected to appear as a playable character in the next game that is to be developed by Drillimation, being the NES Demake of the third Touhou Project game.

Also, on the day this post was written, Chuhou Joutai: The Middle State of War released on Steam one year ago today to positive reviews. The overall good reception led to a sequel being produced. The sequel’s overwhelmingly positive reception could lead to a third Chuhou Joutai game being produced.
