On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, Drillimation’s Prophet Driller paid a visit to the Whitethorn studio, virtually. This decision was made despite dropping temperatures over the past few days. This visit lasted less than half an hour and primarily consisted of a presentation of Drillimation’s in-development game Touhou Kourinden ~ Mythos of Phantasmagoria.
Some of the highlights of the visit included how to keep the game accessible for players of all skill levels. Drillimation is a studio that makes games targeting beginners. Since Mythos of Phantasmagoria is a Touhou Project fangame, the Nintendo Switch port of the game could only be possible given if Whitethorn obtains the rights from Team Shanghai Alice.
The game is over 60% complete as of February 2023. The game is scheduled for release during the second quarter of 2024.
