A Message from Drillimation on the Prophet’s Birthday

Greetings to you all. As I commemorate my 23rd birthday today, I can tell you that the entirety of my life, whether it be long or short, will be devoted to providing a gaming experience for people who wouldn’t otherwise be interested.

Earlier this month, Chuhou Joutai 3: Three Nights of Scarlet Abscess was released, and marked the end of an era for us at Drillimation. Chuhou Joutai was our attempt to appeal to western players who want to try danmaku without as much frustration. Some people are still having trouble with danmaku thanks to one-hit deaths. We aimed to simplify that with Chuhou Joutai.

I have a special thought for all of our players in my hometown of Erie, home state of Pennsylvania, home country of America, and the entire globe. This includes regardless of the weather condition you are living in right now, in autumn leaves or cherry blossoms. I hope you will wish me luck as I plan the next year of my life, even after 2023 rolls in.

We are now living in a time when the coronavirus pandemic has passed and life returned to normal in most areas. The coronavirus is still an issue as it has become endemic in a couple of countries. At my home in America, we are dealing with another health crisis affecting our children – RSV. Earlier this month, my father contracted the virus leading to him coughing and sneezing all over the place. Monkeypox is still an issue as it could become the next pandemic within the coming months if the rate of infection doesn’t slow.

As Thanksgiving and Christmas approach, many would be happy to see their friends and family in person once again. I worked so hard during the pandemic on the second and third Chuhou Joutai games, and the rest of the Touhou Project NES Demakes. Your support to Drillimation during that time has become immense. I thank all of you for helping us get to 5,000 followers on Twitter and 2,500 followers on Instagram.

We still have many problems and difficulties we must confront in the years to come. I am faithful that we will have the strength to tackle those big projects. We are still working on Touhou Kourinden, and the game is only 20 percent complete. We have a goal of getting it finished by the end of 2023. Regardless of what faith you follow, I accept your prayers, and may God give us the wisdom and strength to carry out our required duties for the forthcoming year, and for the rest of my life.
