Monthly Updates: September 2022

Hi, this is Driller from Drillimation Systems.

It’s all over now. Summer has ended, and school has started again. It’s great to see our friends every day, but not so great when we have homework every night. It’s fun to learn new things, but not so great when we have to study for exams. As we kick off the new school year, let me dust my keyboard off.

Touhou RPG is heading to Whitethorn

I pitched my Touhou RPG concept to Whitethorn. As of this writing, the game’s second mission is almost done, the boss part is what we have left. This game has 30 missions in total. The next thing that I have to do is prepare a pitch deck and a playable build. The build might take some more time, but it is 40% complete. I aim to get the build done by the end of this month, just shy of a week before Chuhou Joutai 3: Three Nights of Scarlet Abscess releases next month.

As I said, I am expecting a summer 2024 release. As the first game in a new franchise, Drillimation will release the game in early episodes and hopefully as an early access title on Steam by next year.

Chuhou Joutai 3: Three Nights of Scarlet Abscess

We are only one month away before the release of Chuhou Joutai 3: Three Nights of Scarlet Abscess. We apparently landed on super luck for the demo – it was downloaded over 10,000 times over the first two months of its release, the most successful launch for a Drillimation game.

We hope you look forward to the game’s release exclusively on Steam next month.

That’s it!

That’s all I have for this month. I am looking forward to seeing you in next month’s State of the Prophet Driller for the October 2022 edition. I can’t believe that’s the last one for that year.
