We’ve made it to this point of the year again. Winter is coming to a close for us here and for our players in the Southern Hemisphere, we hope you had a great summer. Like every March for the past four years, we always dress the Chuhou Joutai duo up as the emperor and empress of Japan to commemorate Hinamatsuri. There isn’t much I need to say about my current projects. Here’s the progress so far:
Touhou 5: Mystic Square NES Demake Soundtrack Complete
We are proud to announce the soundtrack for the Touhou 5: Mystic Square NES Demake is finally done. We have now entered the graphic design stage of development.
Chuhou Joutai 3 is 10% done
The tutorial stage for Chuhou Joutai 3 is complete, but we almost ran into a neck-breaker a few days ago. YoYo Games updated GameMaker Studio 2 and removed all built-in Steam API functionality. Now, we have to use an extension that re-enables it. This was a Facebook Update – an unwanted update that adds an unwanted feature and/or takes a working feature and makes it unusable.
Preparations Underway for Chuhou Joutai 2 Demo One-Year Anniversary
This incoming Saturday will mark one year since the release of the demo of Chuhou Joutai 2: Paraided!. We are already preparing for not one, but two PC-98 originals with one being an original arrange. For those unaware, an original arrange is a remix of a Touhou Project song done in a different way, like for example, in a classical style, usually on the PC-98 hardware. Like the theme of Chuhou Joutai 2, they will both be oriental.
