We are only four days away from the release of the Touhou 4: Lotus Land Story NES Demake. What will happen after that? Well, we have Chuhou Joutai 3 and Touhou 5: Mystic Square NES Demake, both of which are being developed concurrently. We have strict time deadlines for both games, but I just want to share an update of what has been going on behind the scenes.
The script for the Mystic Square demake is halfway done. What will be the biggest challenge is the fourth stage cutscenes due to Mai and Yuki being in the same scene. The soundtrack has already gotten up to the fifth stage. There have been some very long songs that we had to add percussion and hasn’t been much of a nightmare as all I’ve had to do was transcribe the percussion from Audacity after I recorded it.
