Drillimation Systems is proud to announce today that the demo for Chuhou Joutai is heading to Steam. This decision is necessary because not enough players are playing the game on Steam and we are not meeting our goals. Even though Drillimation will keep promoting the game on social media, more and more players need to be playing our games.
The demo first released on May 25, 2019 and later on itch.io in August. The game fully released on Steam on May 22, 2020. Putting the demo on Steam is necessary so we can get our players hooked onto the game. Most of Drillimation’s major projects are shareware, where the first portion of the game will be free, but the player must pay in order to play the rest of the game. Other doujin creators such as Team Shanghai Alice have relied on the shareware model to distribute their games.
If you haven’t played Chuhou Joutai yet, we hope you look forward to playing the demo on Steam. The free version will only let you play the first three stages, while players with the full version get the other five. We will continue to grow and evolve in response to player feedback as well as critic reviews.
