Drillimation’s Website Traffic From Last Year Was Below Average the Year Before

The traffic to the official Drillimation website in 2025 was reportedly down by roughly 9% compared to 2024. In the years before 2024, the 2020-2022 annual reports during the first entire phase of the Drillimation Danmaku Universe averaged roughly 8,337 views in a single year. 2024 marked a golden age for the site as it adopted a new marketing tactic by using a similar approach for increasing their traffic to their social media platforms by means of liking other people’s posts and getting the name into people’s notification inboxes. Through that method, the site garnered over 36,400 views, with an average of 100 views per day.

2025 was a different story. While it still kept the same marketing tactics, it still drove similar numbers, but that number was a few thousand shorter than 2024, garnering over 33,400 views, with an average of 92 views per day. To compare the traffic performance breakdown from those two years:

The traffic sources vary, but the most common source is the WordPress reader, which accounts for nearly half of all annual traffic from those two years.

There are a number of reasons annual views can differ from one year to another. These include changes in search engine and social media algorithms, technical challenges, content decay, and prioritizing quality over quantity as a way to target more profitable audiences. Drillimation will continue their social media strategies in order to drive engagement to the website.
