Development of Shining Shattering Sky ~ Reverie of Breaking Unreality Going Smooth, First Part of the Game Nearly Complete

Nearly three weeks ago, the alpha for Shining Shattering Sky ~ Reverie of Breaking Unreality was released for players to try out. Since then, development has progressed smoothly, and as of this writing, 80% of the first entire “dream” of the game has been finished.

This game had a much different development workflow ever since the game began development earlier this summer. Each dream in the game will consist of 100 stages with a boss every twenty. The majority of the stages are easy to make and a pack of ten can be completed within two hours.

Every stage was created with the built-in editor, which was actually the first stage of development. The editor was necessary to cut down on having to create a separate room for each stage. If the development team went down this route, it would have added months to production and bloated the game size.

The next two dreams will likely require more resources, and it is unknown on the number of characters that may appear in the rest of the game, aside from bosses.
