Like a lot of people, I always prefer to work in the daylight instead of the night when I rest. I always like to get up early in the morning so that I can tackle the things that matter to me the most. It’s always game development that’s on my mind during that period, but sometimes I’m preparing assets for it such as drawing artwork, creating sounds and music, etc.
Unless absolutely necessary, I don’t ever work at night except if it’s a very critical thing that needs to be prepared and such. This is because when the day is over, I’m always exhausted and want to sleep. This is especially true during the winter when the days are the shortest of the year and the nights become the longest.

Do you find you’re more creative when there’s daylight? Just wondering bc I know sunup and sundown come much earlier at higher latitudes (and later in summer).

This is a good question. I worked midnights for years. For the last 4 years it’s been days for me. I get more done days but I prefer nighttime. I have to say nighttime.
