There’s Only One Coastal Location in Pennsylvania, The Rest Are Mountainous

For almost the entirety of my life, I’ve lived in a coastal city (not technically coastal, but somewhere situated on the Great Lakes). The sea is up in the north, while the mountains are in the south.

Most of my home state of Pennsylvania consists of mountainous terrain as it is located within the Appalachian mountain range. The entirety of the state is landlocked except for Erie County, where Lake Erie lies north. I’m in between those two. The coast is warmer, while the inland areas are colder as you go up in elevation.

In the Drillimation Danmaku Universe, this inspired Kozankyo’s surroundings. I really like being in an eastern setting because I like the cultures of Eastern and Southeastern Asia.

  1. It’s pretty up that way. My wife grew up in Meadville, and her sister went to college in Edinboro. Now they have a summer place on Conneaut Lake…very cool place 😎
