We’re getting close to summertime (wintertime for our Southern Hemisphere players). May Day on May 1 officially kickstarts summer in some countries, but in the US it’s Memorial Day that unofficially kickstarts summer.
Key Developments Over the Past Month
Development on Touhou Kichouden (Drillimation’s next project) has been going slow because of E. Enthusiasm (one of the game’s art directors) procrastinating when it comes to designing sprites and tiles. I have mostly taken control by designing the sprites he couldn’t.
Statistics on Social Media Platforms
Drillimation continued to deploy their marketing tactics which saw the site have roughly the same conversion rate as the previous two months. The number of subscribers also rose to over 500 during that time, with an average of 125 new subscribers per month.
Drillimation aimed to continue expanding their presence by communicating with Japanese players over the things they like the most. This also included writing tweets exclusively in Japanese.
- The number of followers increased by 115 for a total of 6,285 followers. Drillimation, however, experienced their worst week during the second week in April as it lost a lot of followers from a bot purge. We were able to get them all back.
- The number of impressions delivered by the tweets reached over 50,000 for the first time in a while. April saw nearly twice as many impressions compared to March and other months.
Instagram/Threads
- Views were roughly at 3,000 as in previous months.
- Thanks to a new marketing tactic, the number of followers rose drastically in April for a total of 3,117 followers.
- Not much has also been done on Threads, but the number of followers over the past two months rose by 153 for a total of 1,288 followers.
YouTube
Viewership declining reportedly returned in mid-March.
- Video content was viewed over 10,000 times over the past two months.
- Drillimation hit its goal of reaching 500 subscribers at the beginning of March, and subscribers increased by 48 over those past two months.
