Drillimation Reportedly Experienced Their Worst Week on Twitter: Users Report Losing Followers Due to Bot Purge

If you lost a lot of followers over the past week, you aren’t alone. Last week, Twitter announced they would start purging bots who repeatedly tag users in cryptocurrency scams. Drillimation had just reached 6,200 followers but ended up dipping to 6,189 followers because of the purge on Monday.

It’s not clear when this will be over, but this campaign may continue within the following weeks resulting in an even bigger dip. Some users, mainly celebrities with millions of followers, reported losing over 40,000 followers as a result of the purge.

By today, those lost followers were regained.

  1. I don’t use X. Anything associated with the Muskox is anathema to me. Didn’t use Twitter much so it is no big loss. And EVs as we know them are ultimately a dead end. Including Teslas. It takes far more energy and resources to produce them than they contribute toward saving the environment. And thanks for visiting my blog.
