The Amendments of the Constitution for the Federal Kingdom of Gensokyo

This article lists all amendments that were proposed by the Parliament of the Federal Kingdom of Gensokyo and ratified into the Constitution.

Article I: Rights of the Citizens

Amendment 1: Freedom of the Citizens

As a free and open society, all persons shall have the freedom to establish religious beliefs, freedom of speech, peacefully assemble, and petition the government for any redress of grievances, and Parliament shall never infringe any of these freedoms.

Amendment 2: Freedom of Protection

As a well regulated militia, the Gensokyo Royal Defense Force shall give all persons the privilege to bear arms. No person who has not attained the age of 18 or been convicted of a felony shall be eligible to bear such arms.

Amendment 3: Stationing of Soldiers

No soldier of the Gensokyo Royal Defense Force may be stationed in any home without the consent of the owner except in times of war.

Amendment 4: Protection Against Unwanted Searches and Seizures

Unless if necessary, no person shall be subject to unreasonable searches and seizures, and all persons shall be secure from unnecessary warrants.

Amendment 5: Rights Over Federal Crimes

Unless under presentment or indictment by a Grand Jury, no person shall be held to answer for any capital or other federal crimes. This amendment shall not apply to cases arising from the Gensokyo Royal Defense Force.

Amendment 6: Rights Over Other Crimes

Any accused persons of a criminal offense shall have the right to a speedy and public trial by a jury of the province where the crime was committed.

Amendment 7: Rights Over Civil Crimes

In suits over non-criminal offenses, all facts tried by jury shall be examined in any court in the Kingdom according to the rules of common law.

Amendment 8: Protection Over Excessive Bail or Capital Punishment

Unless if necessary, no person shall be subject to excessive bail or fines, nor be punished by cruel sanctions.

Amendment 9: Protection of Certain Rights

No person shall be subject to the denial or disparagement of rights retained by others.

Amendment 10: Exercising of Local Rights

The powers delegated by all provinces of the Federal Kingdom of Gensokyo shall be their own and not controlled or prohibited by the Kingdom.

Article II: Rights of the Government

Amendment 1: Protection of Suit from Out-of-State Citizens and Foreigners

All judicial power by the Federal Kingdom of Gensokyo shall not extend to any suit in law, commenced or prosecuted by citizens of another state or citizens of any foreign country.

Amendment 2: Election of the Prime Minister and Lieutenant Prime Minister, and Other Members of Parliament

The Prime Minister and Lieutenant Prime Minister, as well as all members of Parliament shall be elected by popular vote at the same time on the first Tuesday in November.

Amendment 3: Prohibition of Slavery

No person in any part of the Federal Kingdom of Gensokyo shall be subject to slavery except as punishment for any crime where the person has been duly convicted.

Amendment 4: Citizenship

All persons born or naturalized in the Federal Kingdom of Gensokyo are citizens of the Kingdom and the province of where they reside. No province shall infringe the privileges or immunities of the citizens, nor deprive any person of life, liberty, and property, without any due process of law.

Amendment 5: Right to Vote

Except those who have not attained the age of 18, no person regardless of gender, faith, or ethnicity shall be denied the right to vote for anyone running for any Office in the Federal Kingdom of Gensokyo, nor shall they be subject to any fees.
