On Friday, December 8, 2023, Drillimation Systems released Touhou Meijinka ~ Song of Divine Tempest on Steam and itch.io.
Song of Divine Tempest is a freeware game intended to test the engine for the Driller Engine System 2. It marks the directorial debut of Emiko Hosokawa as the first game in her Emiverse series.
Song of Divine Tempest retains the gameplay of the Chuhou Joutai trilogy, namely Chuhou Joutai 3: Three Nights of Scarlet Abscess, featuring four playable characters and a co-op mode.
The game centers on an endless thunderstorm draining the audiences of Gensokyo’s bands. Players set out to find the source of the storm, battling an array of characters created by Emiko Hosokawa and Susumu Takajima.
The game is available for download on Steam and itch.io.
