September 2023 Monthly Digest

August for Drillimation presented a wild ride, but it’s all over now. Summer has ended and school has started again. It may be great for you to see your friends every day but not so great when you have homework every night. It’s fun to learn new things but not so great when you have to study for exams. Not for the Prophet though. As we kickstart the new school year, let me dust off my keyboard and explain what has been going on for us.

Key Developments Over the Past Month

• Touhou Meijinka ~ Song of Divine Tempest is halfway done. The new school year may slow down development as homework and exams always get in the way.

While we did recover from the outages, we have seen drastic improvements from July’s debacle.

• The number of followers increased by 62 for a total of 5,846 followers.
• The tweets of Drillimation were viewed over 21,000 times.

Instagram

Drillimation is still struggling from the new hashtag sorting method in an effort to get users to purchase ads. This is what happens when something that was free for many years gets electronic artsed and ruined by adding microtransactions. As a result, lower engagement was expected.

• The posts of Drillimation were viewed nearly 6,600 times.
• The number of followers only increased by 10 for a total of 2,886 followers.

YouTube

• Video content was viewed over 1,800 times.
• Subscribers increased by 15 for a total of 366.

Future Goals

Drillimation hopes to make major progress on Touhou Meijinka ~ Song of Divine Tempest to ensure the game is finished in time for the holiday season. The fourth stage will be undertaken by the Prophet as both the midboss and boss are characters from Chuhou Joutai, one of whom previously appeared in the Touhou Project NES Demakes.

As mentioned in the previous Monthly Digest, the school year is now in full force, and we must work around the clock to ensure that Studio Emiko’s academic duties are fulfilled and done on time.
