Drillimation Systems COVID Outbreak Declared Over

Over a week ago, multiple staff members, including the Prophet Driller, from Drillimation Systems were infected with COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated and boosted. No deaths were reported, and the outbreak started after a staff member had close contact with a co-worker who also had the virus but was asymptomatic.

The past week has been tough for Drillimation. As a result of the outbreak, Drillimation Systems was forced to cancel their appearance at Gannon University’s eSports event. The videos that were planned to release over the past week released as planned, with no delays being put in.

COVID cases in the United States are reportedly on the rise as a result of the new Eris variant spreading. The vaccines intended to protect against the new variants are not expected to be ready until mid-September. Ever since the start of the pandemic, the virus has infected a third of the United States population. Although new vaccines will be put out biannually, the disease has killed over a million people nationwide.

No virus may ever take a summer vacation. Even if the coronavirus pandemic is over, the virus will be here to stay. Vaccines are the only way to prevent a new wave of lockdowns.

UPDATE (08/23/2023): It has been confirmed the co-worker who spread the virus to Drillimation Systems contracted it a second time, and it is not surprising to know the co-worker is a mother of small children, leading to us suspecting one of those children (who was possibly asymptomatic) spread the virus to her, who then spread it to a Drillimation Systems staff member.
