Backstory

Jane will be the stage 5 midboss and boss in Touhou Meijinka ~ Song of Divine Tempest. A mysterious robot who is said to be created by the talented Dr. Phyllis as a replacement for her late daughter, Janet.

In a desparate attempt to “revive” her daughter, Dr. Phyllis decided to transfer her daughter’s soul into a robotic body she had made.

But the first attempt on doing so went wrong.

On the second attempt, she used an arcane technique in order to transfer Janet’s soul into the robot, and it succeeds.

However, as a side effect of this procedure, Jane is cursed with a formidable ability: The ability to manipulate people’s thought using her songs.

There have been cases where people went insane because of instances of her singing songs about death, including the “Dies irae” which she (sometimes) sings during Requiem Masses.

Nevertheless, somehow this incredibly powerful robot is recruited by the Matriarch of Horikawa herself. And since then she has served loyally to the Matriarch.

Along with the Matriarch herself, she is one of the two culprit behind the incident.
