Problem: A Drillimation product is missing from search results on Steam.
Solution
Unfortunately, due to licensing and/or government restrictions, not all content is available worldwide. Drillimation may choose to make content available to specific distribution services or regions, either because of licensing rights or to comply with local laws. Drillimation hosts most of their game projects on itch.io, which is accessible in all countries.
Drillimation Systems intends to keep game content uniform in all regions, but in order to do so we must operate in strict compliance with all local, national, and international laws, as well as in accordance with regional censorship standards. Content that is generally subject to censorship includes religiously and/or politically sensitive material, or if they have any negative effects on personality development (for example, anything explicitly graphic), social order, and/or national security.
Specific Countries
Drillimation is unable to sell their products in regions that are subject to sanctions or other trade control restrictions listed by the United States Department of the Treasury. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Cuba
- Syria
- Iran
- North Korea
Additionally, Steam is unavailable in the following regions:
- Mainland China (uses Steam China and none of Drillimation’s games have been approved by the government for sale)
Specific Games
- The Touhou Project NES Demakes are only available on itch.io because of the limited use of the Team Shanghai Alice license.
- Chuhou Joutai 3: Three Nights of Scarlet Abscess is only available on Steam.
